CORE VALUES
The purpose of True Life Community Church is the same purpose that Jesus had – to bring people into a personal relationship with the Living God. “And I, the Son of Man, have come to seek and save those like him who are lost.” Luke 19:10
The purpose of our church is based on these two key scriptures:
The Great Commandment
“Jesus said,‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart…soul…and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” Matthew 22:36-40
The Great Commission
“Jesus said,‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20
From the Great Commandment and the Great Commission we discover that Jesus has given five instructions to His people, The Church:
To Love God with all your heart is Worship
To Love your neighbor as yourself is Ministry
To Go make disciples is Evangelism
To Baptize is Obedience
To Teach them all things is Discipleship
These instructions form the five purposes for any balanced, healthy church of Jesus Christ and for True Life Community Church in particular. Since we seek to honor Jesus by obeying His commands…
True Life Community Church exists to glorify God by reaching, connecting, equipping, and empowering people for service in the church and the world.
